I love taking green tea. This is not because I love its taste but I know it’s very healthy for me. Green Tea has been used all across the World as a source of medicine for thousands of years. Many health benefits are attached to it as compared to other teas. Basically green tea avoid the process of fermentation, as a result many amount of anti oxidants retains with it, which gives Green Tea, a healthy substance. It benefits are still debatable; However, there is a list of some benefits of green tea which many people wouldn’t know:

Green tea increases the process of metabolism. It comprises of polyphenol which helps to reduce calories by burning fats of the body.
Green tea helps in the regulation of glucose levels which slow down the rising of blood sugar level after eating. It can even prevent from fat storage and high insulin.

Green tea works on the lining of blood vessels which results in maintaining blood pressure to normal. It prevents the formation of clots, which is the major cause of heart attack.

Green tea also protects from esophageal cancer. It kills the cancer cells without damaging the healthy tissues of the body.
Green tea reduces bad cholesterol in the body and helps in improving the ratio of good cholesterol over bad cholesterol.

It is evident from the scientific studies that catechin present in green tea helps in destroying bacteria which causes dental diseases.
An amino acid known as Theanine is usually found in tea leaves. This acid provides a tranquilizing and relaxing effect to the tea drinkers.
Green tea helps in protecting skin by reducing the signs of aging and wrinkles. It can also reduce the sun damage caused on skin.
Thus, it has many health benefits. So, if you are not sensitive to caffeine, then you can enjoy one or more than one cup of green tea in a day. However, tannins also present in green tea which is not desirable for pregnant ladies. Besides this, green tea is not harmful and everyone must take it to take health benefits.
