Pakistan is suffering from deep turmoil nowadays. It is one of those countries that is facing unlimited challenges from inside as well as outside.
Pakistan is a beautiful country with a lot of untapped potential. It can grow to new heights of success but there are many reasons why Pakistan is a failed state. Some of them are as follows are as follows:
1. Jealous of Successful people.
Our first and foremost quality is that we hate the success of other people! We are envious of their glory and we feel bad for their success. The world usually respects the successful people and America is proud to be called the country of Bill Gates. But we Pakistanis insult every person who progress in our country. We either call him “Corrupt” or “Lucky”. We don’t appreciate all those people who have strove hard for success.
2. Always on the look out for job rather than business.
The second reason for our lagging behind is “JOB MINDSET”. Once in a training, I heard the trainer say that he thinks of job as “JAIL FOR BOSS”. Nothing else! The problem with us as Pakistanis is that we are always looking for jobs rather than “Businesses”. We are in never ending quests for high paying job in which we have to work less and less! However, it is proven that countries progress by all those entrepreneurs who acted as a catalyst to fuel up the economy of the country. America, china , Europe are the biggest examples for us. America was made by the 36 multi national companies who dared to come up!
3. Religious Extremism.
We are religious extremists! We have made religion the center of extremism. The country is full of sects and castes and sub religions. And people of one caste declare the other caste as “KAFIRS” and this intolernace of religion has made Pakistan a living hell.
4. No trend of acquiring new skills.
We hardly develop any skills or talents as we go in our normal lives. We take it as an insult to acquire new talents. In Pakistan, we hardly find an exceptional plumber, driver, Chef, security guard etc. They all are mediocre and they just chose their profession because they had no other option. Ironically, We spend all our lives searching a good gardener but hardly find one!
5. Lack of proper training.
We are a great example of untrained nation! We have not given social awareness trainings to our coming generations. We don’t know how to talk properly, sit properly or even deal with the required competencies. We are not even trained as how to work. An employee in a shop destroys that shop while employees in factories close down the factories! Ninety percent of our population don’t know properly how to drive. If we hand over our car to driver, he will destroy that earning asset. We proudly tear down our national assets during strikes and campaigns build upon our own taxes!
6. Expenses more than income.
Our expense is more than our income. We spend more than we really have the capacity. Unemployment has fired up many terrorist acts such as stealing, kidnap, murder in our society.
7. Lack of prior preparation.
We hardly do any homework before deciding to implement new changes. Tahir ul Qadri and Imran Khan want to bring INQALAB in Pakistan but will the manage it afterwards? There is no prior homework on it. In 2020 when our water supply will be reduced to half, what will be do? We first build roads then break it down to make underpass and then decide to formulate Metro system over it.
8. Political Instability.
Pakistan is suffering from dire political instability. Even today, we are living under the fear of military dictatorship. Our Governments are responsible for high level rigging in elections. And if that government had no done so, we don’t let that government stay for longer.
9. Lack of tolerance.
We as a nation lack tolerance and patience. We can hardly stand the diverse view of others and rush back to justify our own. We can break hands, tear off necks over disagreements. We don’t refrain from knocking our own peers out over petty issues. Our young generation is becoming increasingly intolerant and out of control, the frustration being passed to them through their society.
10. Lack of Law and order.
There is no law and order in Pakistan. Corruption is prevalent in nearly all segments of the society. The poor gets punished while the rich or those have political influence remain free. There is an existing Sifarish system in the nation which is the root cause of all corruption. One who does have any Sifarish will be able to get a job easily but those who don’t have will remain jobless and without any hope. Such is the level of corruption in Pakistan that one doesn’t even get internships in good companies without reference!
11. Laziness as a national culture.
Laziness is our national culture. We never complete any task on the present day. We leave everything to tomorrow. And when talking about results, we say “Allah Malik hai!”. Even while walking, we take lesser steps than average steps of Europeans or Americans. Our students can’t think of passing exams totally on their own. They always expect some sort of help and feel indignant about not getting so. And we offer todays’ prayers to tomorrow’ shifts!!
We have more than 11 QUALITIES but they all are hidden behind these dominant bad vices prevalent in Pakistan. Our good qualities will not come in front of the world till we push the curtain of our bad vices away!!
